POSITION: Environmental, Health & Safety Director
NATURE: Leadership, Business Development, Consulting
STATUS: Exempt

Include, but not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or higher preferred with minimum of 10 years of diversified environmental, safety and health experience in a construction, manufacturing, or industry field or a commensurate combination of training, education, and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to understand all federal, state, local and company regulations and policies
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations in a professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills – with several groups ranging from Board of Directors, Internal Management Team, Staff, Members, and Public


  • Provide excellence in leadership, management, and direction to the EHS Department team; proven background in building and working with collaborative teams and independently, high energy and self- motivated
  • Managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities with aligned smart goals
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new venture integration
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals
  • Motivate the team, track performance, and report metrics
  • Provide consulting and recommendations to member companies on regulatory audits, advise on educational needs and requirements, including safety manuals, audits
  • Collaborate with outside organizations to determine the needs of the community for services, then help develop those needed services
  • Collaborate with outside organizations to stay current on all regulations
  • Management responsibility for continual review of member value proposition as well as recruitment and retention of members and pricing strategies
  • Program, faculty, and staff management and development
  • Chairs departmental and faculty meetings on regular basis to ensure quality educational offerings, administrative support, and garnering feedback for continuous improvement
  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and effectively and professionally deal with customers and external contacts to the Company
  • Compliance with all Human Resource policies
  • Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by CEO
