A local manufacturing organization is looking to hire an EHS Specialist for its manufacturing facility near Portland, OR. The EHS Specialist will report directly to the EHS Manager, and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Health and Safety programs in order to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
The Role:
- Improve, develop, and manage the company’s safety systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
- Complete and submit all regulatory reports and documents
- Conduct employee safety training (in specific manufacturing areas such as LOTO, Machine Guarding, etc.)
- Perform safety inspections and audits
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field preferred
- 2+ years of Safety experience or internship in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing plant
- Strong leadership and communication skills
