Emergency Response Manager

We serve the municipal, industrial, and mining industries as well as a wide array of specialty applications.  SNF is currently seeking an Emergency Response Manager.  The company is located in Riceboro, GA, only 20 miles south of Savannah, GA.

The Emergency Response Manager will join our Environmental, Health, and Safety team and is responsible for promoting and facilitating a systematic approach to emergency management based on prevention preparedness, response, and recovery.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage emergency management resources for a state of preparedness for any likely emergencies that could occur.
  • Ensure emergency management resources people equipment policies procedures standards and plans meet the needs of the operation based on emergency risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate the continued development, implementation, and maintenance of the emergency management risk program.
  • Build effective working relationships at all levels of the business with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure emergency response team training is carried out according to a strategic plan and site-specific requirements.
  • Ensure mandatory reports are compiled accurately and in a timely fashion.

As an ideal candidate, you will have proven competence in:

  • Industrial firefighting
  • Breathing apparatus operation and associated systems
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) or ALS (Advanced Life Support)
  • Fire pump Operations

In addition, you will need:

  • At least two years’ experience leading emergency management teams.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the fire system testing and reporting procedures.
  • First Aid Instructor certification would be advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Good computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sporadically wear a respirator for heavy-duty work
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 50 feet on occasion.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
