7G HSE Consultant; Area of Focus – Safety and Industrial Hygiene

With that in mind, SevenGen is seeking smart, forward-thinking problem solvers to complement our fun, easy-going, and hardworking team of HSE professionals in Fort Wayne, IN. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, exhibit confidence and contribute to our business objectives. This position operates technically under the Director of Operations, and offers opportunities to develop a strong HSE skillset, to travel, and to grow as a consultant in a leading HSE consulting firm.


The duties listed below are examples of typical tasks our HSE Consultants are accountable for. Not all duties are included, or is it expected that all positions will be assigned.

  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments that will help our corporate clients determine their current level of risk associated with a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Develop and review written programs including, but not limited to, Hazardous Energy (LOTO), Hazardous Communications, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fall Protection, Machine Guarding, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, etc.
  • Draft, complete and review Job Hazard Assessments, PPE Certifications, Machine Specific Hazardous Energy Control Procedures, Machine Safeguarding Assessments, Fall Protection Assessments, etc.
  • On-site support to help fill the position of Site Safety Professional and/or help augment an existing staff of EHS professionals.
  • Execute specific Scopes of Work provided by Senior Leadership and/or Project Management for customer projects.
  • Collect meaningful observations of work practices, environments, and conditions.
  • Evaluate occupational related findings, observations, and compliance with health rules, standards and best practices in an effort to propose corrective measures to minimize and eliminate exposure risks.
  • Prepare well-written technical reports for clients, and all applicable correspondence.
  • Support and execute quantitative and qualitative fit testing and associated procedures.
  • Interpret and communicate programmatic standards, rules, and regulations to officials of industry and others.
  • Consult with management, employee representatives, and other agencies regarding industrial health problems and solutions.
  • Keep abreast of technology and current issues through seminars and training to contribute to the ongoing improvement and growth of the organization,
  • Maintain a commitment to the customer and our partnership, possess a technical competency, and friendly and professional approach to your work.



The HSE Consultant will report to and work with SevenGen’s Director of Operations.


  • Bachelors in the Health, Safety, Environmental, or Engineering field, or equivalent.


SevenGen provides HSE services on a national scale, operating from offices located in the USA fluency in English is a must and a knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Professional Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant technical experience
  • Consulting experience in heavy manufacturing and construction.
  • OSHA 30 Hour, OSHA Outreach Training, ANSI Z359
  • Working knowledge of OSHA’s and ANSI’s HSE regulations, concepts and trends and ability to understand and interpret audit and survey results within the context of applicable regulations.
  • Ability to organize information and present in a clear concise manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to identify site specific details to support Sr. Consultants in developing solutions to complex safety issues.

Pay Frequency:

  • Bi weekly or Twice monthly
