Safety & Compliance Manager

Provide management support in the planning, development, delivering and evaluation of safety policies, programs and training; promotes safety for all employees and compliance with legal regulations and department policies

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure support in the planning development, delivery and evaluation of safety programs for all employees.
  • Assist the campus community in performing risk mitigation analysis, reviewing safe work practices and recommending suitable safety precautions
  • Participate in incident investigation, root-cause analysis, recordkeeping, and implementation of agreed upon actions
  • Chair Safety Committee; ensure that meetings are held in compliance with applicable rules, regulations and college policy.
  • Handle Safety Gram record keeping
  • Investigate and follow up on campus accident and Injury reports in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Provide Basic First Aid/AED training/coordination for all staff/faculty
  • Maintain safety policies, procedures and program management plans that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and maintain health, safety and environmental protection data, provide information and reports as needed to support regulatory and risk mitigation efforts.
